NTA Drops 9 Questions of JEE Main 2026, +4 Bonus Marks Announced

NTA has dropped nine questions from the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 final answer key. Candidates will receive +4 marks for each dropped question in their respective shifts. Result will be announced soon.
JEE Main 2026: NTA Drops 9 Questions, +4 Bonus Marks Announced after releasing the final answer key on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The decision applies to Session 1 examinations conducted in January 2026.
Candidates will receive +4 marks for each dropped question, regardless of whether they attempted it. The bonus will be granted only for questions dropped in the candidate’s respective shift.
JEE Main 2026 Dropped Questions List for India Centres
The National Testing Agency has released subject-wise and shift-wise details of the dropped questions. Candidates who appeared in these specific shifts will be awarded bonus marks accordingly.
Below is the list of dropped questions for exam centres in India:
- 22 January 2026 – Shift 1 (Physics): 444792191
- 22 January 2026 – Shift 2 (Maths): 860654995
- 22 January 2026 – Shift 2 (Physics): 8606541010, 8606541017
- 23 January 2026 – Shift 1 (Physics): 8606541395
- 23 January 2026 – Shift 2 (Physics): 444792476, 444792479
- 24 January 2026 – Shift 2 (Physics): 444792647
- 28 January 2026 – Shift 1 (Maths): 444792698
JEE Main 2026 Dropped Questions for Centres Outside India
For candidates who appeared at centres outside India, separate question IDs have been removed from the final answer key. The list is as follows:

- 23 January 2026 – Shift 1 (Physics): 8606541995

Candidates from these shifts will receive the bonus marks automatically during score calculation.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Result to Be Released Soon
Following the release of the final answer key, the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result is expected shortly. The result will be available in the form of a scorecard under candidate login at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
Candidates must keep their application number and password ready to access the result. The scorecard will display percentile score, All India Rank, and qualification status for further admission processes, including eligibility for JEE Advanced 2026.
