NTA Confirms No JEE Main 2026 Date Change Even if Exams Clash

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially confirmed that the JEE Main 2026 exam dates will not be changed even if they overlap with other state-level or national-level exams. This clarification appears in the latest NTA FAQs, addressing concerns raised by students about potential exam clashes. NTA’s decision means candidates appearing for more than one competitive exam must plan their schedules carefully. The agency clearly states that no request for shift or date modification will be accepted once the schedule is allotted.

JEE Main 2026 Exam Details

The JEE Main 2026 exam will be conducted strictly as per the academic calendar released by NTA. The exam authority emphasises that no slot booking facility will be provided. Instead, the exam date and shift will be allotted randomly by the system, and candidates must appear according to the assigned schedule. NTA advises students to cross-check other exam calendars well in advance to avoid overlaps, as no rescheduling will be permitted under any circumstances.

NTA Clarifies No Change in JEE Main 2026 Exam Dates

According to the updated FAQs, JEE Main 2026 will be conducted exactly as per the notified schedule. Even if a clash occurs with another national or state-level exam, NTA will not modify session dates or shifts. This ensures uniformity in the exam process but requires aspirants to organise their exam plans responsibly. Candidates must also remember that the JEE Main exam date and shift cannot be changed after allocation, and no grievances regarding exam clashes will be accepted.
