The Undergraduate Medical Education Board of NMC has released a formal notification confirming the final NEET UG syllabus for 2026. The syllabus document covers all prescribed topics for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with no deletions or additions compared to the previous cycle. Candidates planning to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test in 2026 are advised to prepare strictly according to the notified syllabus, as it will form the basis of the question paper. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET UG 2026 examination as the designated testing authority.
NEET UG 2026 Syllabus Structure Across Subjects
The confirmed syllabus outlines a fixed number of units for each subject. This structure remains consistent with previous years and provides clarity for long-term preparation. The subject-wise unit distribution is as follows:
- Physics: 20 units
- Chemistry: 20 units
- Biology: 10 units
Students are advised to continue practising previously prescribed topics, as the scope of the syllabus remains unchanged for the current academic cycle.
NMC Advisory for NEET 2026 Aspirants
In its official communication, NMC advised all stakeholders to strictly follow the updated syllabus document for academic planning and study material preparation. The advisory stated that the syllabus should be used for preparation of study resources and for conducting the NEET UG examination for the 2026–27 academic session. This confirmation removes uncertainty regarding potential syllabus reductions.
