NMAT 2025 Exam Over; Expected NMIMS Cutoff and MBA Admission 2026

The NMAT 2025 examination has concluded across all scheduled test slots, as confirmed by GMAC. With the exam phase over, candidates are now awaiting updates on the NMIMS MBA Admission Process 2026, including the expected NMIMS NMAT cutoff and post-exam selection stages. NMAT scores are accepted by more than fifty management institutes, with SVKM’s NMIMS remaining the top choice for most test takers.

NMIMS Expected NMAT Cutoff for MBA Admission 2026

SVKM’s NMIMS University will accept NMAT 2025 scores for admission to its MBA programmes for the 2026 academic session. Based on trends from the previous admission cycle, NMIMS is expected to retain a common cutoff across all campuses, continuing the streamlined shortlisting process. Before the competency-based evaluation was introduced, the NMAT cutoff at NMIMS regularly exceeded 225 marks. However, in the most recent admission cycle, the institute reduced the cutoff significantly.

  • NMIMS NMAT cutoff last session: 209 overall score
  • Sectional cutoff: 62 marks in each of the three sections

A similar cutoff trend is expected for MBA Admission 2026. Even if revised, the overall cutoff is unlikely to exceed 215 marks for shortlisting candidates to the next stages.

NMIMS MBA Selection Criteria 2026: Expected Weightage

NMIMS shifted its focus from heavy reliance on entrance test scores to a competency-based assessment model. This approach is expected to continue for the MBA 2026 intake. Before reviewing the weightage distribution, candidates should note that the structure below is based on the previous admission cycle and may be revised officially.

Competency Assessment

50%

The competency assessment remains the most influential stage, carrying half of the total weightage, making performance beyond NMAT scores critical for final selection.

Post-NMAT Admission Process for NMIMS MBA 2026

Following the conclusion of NMAT 2025, NMIMS is expected to announce Stage Two of the MBA admission process shortly. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the competency test and personal interview, conducted as per the institute’s internal schedule. Final admission offers will be made based on the composite score, calculated using all selection components. Candidates are advised to track official announcements regularly to avoid missing important deadlines.
