NLU Patiala CLAT Cutoff 2025 Released: Category-Wise Ranks

Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law has released the CLAT 2025 cutoff ranks for admission to its five-year BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes. The closing ranks have been published after the completion of counselling rounds conducted through the CLAT admission process. For the 2025 admission cycle, the university issued three rounds of seat allotment for candidates under the All India (AI) and Home State (HS) quotas across multiple categories.

NLU Patiala Cutoff 2025: General Category (All India Quota)

Candidates belonging to the General category under the All India quota faced comparatively higher competition. For the BA LLB (Hons) programme, the closing rank moved from 1146 in Round 1 to 1279 in the final round. For all LLM specialisations, including Business Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and International Law, the final closing rank remained uniform at 1310.

NLU Patiala Cutoff 2025: SC Category (All India Quota)

For SC category candidates, the cutoffs were relatively higher than the General category. The BA LLB (Hons) closing rank increased from 8126 in Round 1 to 8625 in the last round, indicating seat availability until the final counselling phase. Across all LLM specialisations, the closing rank shifted from 3743 in the first round to 4073 in the final round.

NLU Patiala Cutoff 2025: ST Category (All India Quota)

Candidates from the ST category recorded higher closing ranks in both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The BA LLB (Hons) closing rank moved from 11761 in Round 1 to 12742 in the last round. For all LLM programmes, the cutoff increased from 5653 in the first round to 8159 in the final round.

Under the PwD category, the BA LLB (Hons) closing rank saw a significant rise, starting at 27231 in the first round and reaching 43286 in the final round. For LLM specialisations, the cutoff changed from 7489 in Round 1 to 9531 in the last round of counselling.

NLU Patiala Cutoff 2025: Home State Quota

The Home State quota showed wide rank movement, especially in the General and OBC categories. For BA LLB (Hons) admissions:

  • General: 1240 (Round 1) to 40080 (Last Round)

  • SC: 7515 (No change)

The sharp expansion in closing ranks suggests extended seat availability in later rounds for Home State candidates.
