NLU Kolkata has released the CLAT 2025 cutoff ranks for UG and PG law admissions across categories. The General All India closing ranks ranged between 327 and 711 for undergraduate programmes. Category-wise and Home State quota cutoffs indicate varying competition levels across courses.

NLU Kolkata CLAT Cutoff 2025 Released: Category-wise Ranks

The The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, popularly known as NLU Kolkata, has released the CLAT 2025 cutoff ranks for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The cutoff data reflects the final round closing ranks across All India and Home State quotas for multiple categories. The CLAT cutoff plays a decisive role in determining admission chances, with lower closing ranks indicating higher competition for a particular course.

 

NLU Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for General All India Category

For candidates under the General All India quota, the most competitive programme at the undergraduate level was B.A. LL.B. (Hons.). The final round closing rank for this course stood at 327, while the first round closed at 285. For B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.), the cutoff was comparatively higher, with closing ranks moving from 652 in Round 1 to 711 in the last round. At the postgraduate level, admissions to the LL.M. programme closed at a rank of 608 in the final round. These figures highlight the strong demand for undergraduate law seats at NLU Kolkata among General category candidates.

 

NLU Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for SC and ST All India Categories

For candidates belonging to the SC All India category, the final round cutoff ranks ranged between 2,367 and 6,987 across UG and PG courses. The B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme closed at 4,753, while B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) saw a last round closing rank of 6,987. In the ST All India category, competition was relatively lower. The B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course closed at 6,343, and B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) admissions concluded at a rank of 9,739. The LL.M. programme for ST candidates closed at 3,512 in the final round.

 

NLU Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for PwD All India Category

Candidates under the PwD All India quota witnessed higher closing ranks due to fewer applicants. The final round cutoff for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) was 11,938, while B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) closed at 24,911. For LL.M., the last round rank stood at 6,501.

 

NLU Kolkata Cutoff 2025 for Home State Quota

NLU Kolkata also released category-wise cutoffs under the Home State quota. For General Home State candidates, the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme closed at 1,119 in the final round, while B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) admissions closed at 1,428. The LL.M. course saw a closing rank of 1,456. Compared to the General category, cutoff ranks for OBC, SC, ST and PwD Home State candidates were significantly higher, reflecting reduced competition within reserved categories.
