Nitte University 15th Convocation 2025 on November 7 and 8, 2025

Nitte (Deemed to be University) has announced that its 15th Annual Convocation will be held on November 7 and 8, 2025, across two campuses in Mangaluru and Nitte. This year, a total of 1,999 graduates from diverse disciplines will receive their degrees, marking another milestone in the university’s academic journey.

 

First Convocation Ceremony at KSHEMA Campus, Mangaluru

The first ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the KSHEMA Campus, Deralakatte. The event will be presided over by Chancellor N. Vinaya Hegde. The convocation address will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Srinath Reddy K, Honorary Distinguished Professor and Goodwill Ambassador of the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), and former Head of Cardiology at AIIMS, New Delhi. During the event, Nitte University will confer the Doctor of Science (DSc) Honoris Causa posthumously upon the late Dr. Madhukar Shantharam Kekre in recognition of his remarkable contributions to medical education, research, and institutional development.

 

Second Convocation at Nitte Off-Campus Centre

The second ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 8, at the Nitte Off-Campus Centre. Chancellor N. Vinaya Hegde will again preside over the event, while Prof. Dr. Siddu P. Algur, Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Kerala, will be the chief guest. Dr. Algur is known for his expertise in web mining, knowledge discovery, and big data analytics. Both ceremonies will also feature Prof. Dr. M. Shantharam Shetty (Pro-Chancellor, Hospital Management), Vishal Hegde (Pro-Chancellor, Administration), and Prof. Dr. M. S. Moodithaya (Vice-Chancellor), who will deliver the welcome address.

 

Degrees and Awards Across Disciplines

In total, 28 doctoral degrees, 959 postgraduate degrees, 1,054 undergraduate degrees, five fellowships, and two postgraduate diplomas will be awarded. The Mangaluru ceremony will include degrees under the faculties of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, allied health sciences, humanities, biological sciences, architecture, speech & hearing, and hospitality management. The Nitte Off-Campus event will confer degrees in computer applications, engineering, technology, business administration, commerce, and management.
