The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) has issued the Apprentice Recruitment 2026 notification inviting eligible candidates to apply for 50 Apprentice Trainee positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This recruitment drive is aimed at providing practical training opportunities across various disciplines for the academic year 2026–27.

Vacancy Details: Graduate, Diploma & ITI Apprentice Trainees

The apprenticeship drive at NIT Calicut includes positions across multiple qualification levels and trades. Stipends will be provided to selected trainees during the one-year training period.

  • Nursing: 02 posts – B.Sc Nursing with 60% marks

  • Pharmacist: 01 post – B.Pharm with 60% marks

ITI Trade Apprentice Trainee (Total: 19)

These posts are for candidates with relevant ITI trade qualifications:

Eligibility Criteria for NIT Calicut Apprenticeship

To be eligible for the apprenticeship positions, candidates must have obtained their Graduate, Diploma or ITI qualifications in the relevant discipline in or after 2022 from a recognised Indian university or board. Only regular candidates are eligible; those currently undergoing or who have completed apprenticeship training of one year or more are not eligible.The upper age limit as of the application deadline (09 February 2026) varies by category and post type, with relaxations applicable for OBC, SC and ST candidates in line with government rules.
