The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has postponed the Class 10 and 12 examinations scheduled in Bihar due to the upcoming Assembly Elections 2025. The revised exam dates will soon be announced on the official website — nios.ac.in.
NIOS Exam Postponement Applies Only to Bihar Centres
According to an official notice, the postponement affects only those examination centres located within Bihar. Exams at centres outside the state and abroad will be conducted as per the original schedule without any change. Students have been advised to regularly check the NIOS website for the latest updates regarding the revised timetable.
Exams Affected by Postponement
The NIOS has postponed multiple papers scheduled between November 6 and November 11, 2025. The list of affected subjects is as follows:
The examinations that were postponed will be rescheduled after the completion of the Bihar Assembly Elections. The new dates are expected to be published soon on the official portal.
Exams Continue as Scheduled Elsewhere
Apart from Bihar, the NIOS Class 10 and 12 exams 2025 are being conducted across India and abroad according to the original timetable, which runs until November 18, 2025. For November 7, both secondary and senior secondary students will appear for the Science and Technology paper as per the existing schedule.
