NIOS has extended the deadline for Tutor Marked Assignment submission till 27 February 2026 without late fee. Learners can upload TMAs online through the official student portal, while board exams are expected in April-May 2026.
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has extended the last date for submitting Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA). As per the latest notification, learners can now upload their TMAs till 27 February 2026 (Friday) without paying any late fee. Students can complete the submission process through the official website – nios.ac.in.
NIOS Tutor Marked Assignment Upload Deadline Extended
NIOS has taken this step to provide additional time for learners who have not yet submitted their assignments. Tutor Marked Assignments are an important part of the academic evaluation process for NIOS students. Candidates are advised to complete the uploading process before the extended deadline to avoid any issues during final assessment.
NIOS Date Sheet 2026 and Board Exam Schedule
NIOS is expected to release the NIOS date sheet 2026 in March 2026. The board is likely to conduct the NIOS Class 10 and Class 12 examinations in April-May 2026.
Students should regularly check the official portal for updates related to the exam timetable, hall tickets, and other important announcements.
Steps to Upload NIOS TMAs Online Through Student Portal
Students can submit their Tutor Marked Assignments online by following the official process.
The steps below explain how learners can upload TMAs correctly:
- Visit the official student portal at sdmis.nios.ac.in
- Login using registered credentials
- Prepare handwritten TMAs for each subject and convert them into a PDF file
- Click on the Download/Upload TMA option from the student dashboard
- Select the subject and choose the medium or language of the assignment
- Upload the correct PDF file and click on the Submit button
Learners must ensure that the uploaded file is clear and properly scanned to avoid rejection.
Important Advisory for NIOS Learners
NIOS students should submit their TMAs well before 27 February 2026 to prevent last-minute technical difficulties. Assignments play a key role in final results, making timely submission essential. Further details regarding the date sheet, exam centres, and board exam instructions will be announced by NIOS in the coming weeks.
