Eligibility Criteria for NIFT Admission

Candidates attending the Open House do not require specific eligibility. However, for admissions to BDes/B.F.Tech programs, the eligibility is as follows:

  • 10+2 certification from a recognized board.
  • For B.F.Tech, candidates must have PCM subjects in class 12.
  • Age limit for general category: under 24 years as of August 1, 2026.
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates: 5-year age relaxation.

 

NIFT Open House Admission Process 2026

Candidates can register for the Open House by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official NIFT website.
  2. Check eligibility for the desired design course.
  3. Start registration and create a login ID.
  4. Fill and submit the application form with academic and personal details.
  5. Upload photograph, signature, and other required documents.
  6. Pay the application fee as per the category and course.

 

NIFT Open House Entrance Exams 2026

The General Ability Test (GAT) and Creative Ability Test (CAT) will be conducted, followed by a situation test or personal interview, depending on the course. Exams assess creativity, analytical, and general abilities in fashion and design.

NIFT Open House Counselling Process 2026

Shortlisted candidates must register for counselling, select preferred course and campus, and pay the counselling fee. Multiple rounds may be conducted based on seat availability. Once allotted, candidates need to complete admission formalities at the campus.
