The National Institute of Design has expanded the list of NIFT 2026 exam cities by adding Vapi and Daman. With this update, the total number of NIFTEE 2026 examination centres has increased to 102 cities across India and Union Territories.
The new cities have been introduced to provide greater convenience to candidates and reduce travel-related difficulties. The official update confirms that applicants will be allowed to choose these newly added cities during the upcoming correction window.
Newly Added NIFT 2026 Exam Cities
The details of the two newly added NIFTEE 2026 exam centres are provided below.
State / UT | City | City Code |
Gujarat | Vapi | GJ34 |
Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (UT) | Daman | DD01 |
These centres are now officially included in the list of available NIFT examination cities for the 2026 admission cycle.
Option to Change Exam City During Correction Window
Candidates who have already submitted their NIFT 2026 application form and selected a different examination city can modify their preference. The change can be made only during the NIFT 2026 application correction window.
As per the official schedule, the correction window will open from January 12 to January 14, 2026. During this period, candidates may opt for Vapi or Daman as their preferred exam city, subject to availability. No requests for city changes will be entertained after the correction window closes.
NIFT 2026 Application Status
The NIFT 2026 applications are currently open. Eligible candidates can submit their application forms online through the official portals. The application process is being conducted in online mode only.
Applicants are advised to carefully review their details before final submission. Those planning to change their exam city should ensure they log in during the correction period and update their preferences on time.
Important Advisory for Candidates
Candidates should note that the addition of new cities is aimed at benefiting students from nearby regions. Selection of exam centres will be subject to seat availability at the chosen location. Once the correction window closes, exam city preferences will be frozen.
Applicants are advised to regularly check official updates related to NIFT 2026, including exam city allocation and admit card release, to avoid missing any important deadlines.
