NIELIT Releases OEAF Dates for CHMT-O Level January 2026 Exam

he National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) has officially announced the Online Examination Application Form (OEAF) submission schedule for the CHMT-O Level January 2026 examination cycle. As per the notified timeline, the online application window opened on November 20, 2025, and will remain active until December 8, 2025. All registered candidates appearing for the CHMT-O Level examination must complete their OEAF submission within the prescribed period to be considered eligible for the upcoming exam cycle.

NIELIT CHMT-O Level January 2026 Important Dates

The institute has released the full examination calendar for the January cycle. The key dates are outlined below:

• OEAF availability begins: November twenty six, twenty twenty five
• Last date for OEAF submission: December eight, twenty twenty five
• Last date for institute verification and fee forwarding: December eleven, twenty twenty five
• Employability Skills examination: Last week of January twenty twenty six
• Commencement of practical examinations: Last week of January twenty twenty six
• Theory examination begins: January tenth, twenty twenty six

Examination Mode and Application Details

NIELIT has confirmed that the theory examinations for CHMT-O modules and Employability Skills will be conducted in online mode, while practical examinations will take place offline at designated centres across the country. From January twenty twenty five onwards, an examination application processing fee of rupees one hundred is applicable for CHMT-O Level candidates. The OEAF must be submitted only through the online portal, and the fee is to be paid using Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT). Candidates can also utilise Common Service Centres (CSC) for form filling and fee payment facilities, especially in regions with limited digital access.

Key Instructions for Candidates

Several essential guidelines have been issued alongside the schedule:

• Examination centres must be selected carefully, as requests for centre change will not be entertained later.
• Candidates who already possess a NIELIT login ID can continue using the same credentials.
• Institutes are responsible for verifying OEAF submissions made through them and forwarding the examination fees via the portal.
• Only online submissions will be accepted; offline applications will not be considered.

NIELIT has advised candidates to avoid last-minute submissions due to possible technical congestion on the portal.
