NIELIT O/A/B/C Level Exam 2026 Ongoing; Reporting Time and Centre Guidelines as the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology continues to conduct the January 2026 theory examinations. The exams entered Day 2 on 12 January 2026 and are being held at designated examination centres across the country. Candidates appearing for the examinations are advised to strictly follow the instructions mentioned on their admit cards to avoid any issues on the exam day.

 

NIELIT O/A/B/C Level Exam 2026 Schedule

The NIELIT January 2026 examination cycle started on 10 January 2026 and will conclude on 18 January 2026. The examination schedule differs slightly across levels and modules. The A, B, and C Level theory examinations are being conducted from 10 January 2026 to 14 January 2026. Meanwhile, the O Level and CHMT-O Level theory examinations will continue till 18 January 2026. Candidates must carefully check the date and paper code mentioned on their admit cards, as the schedule is subject-specific.

 

NIELIT Exam 2026 Mode of Examination

The NIELIT O Level examinations are being conducted fully in computer-based online mode. For the A, B, and C Level examinations, selected modules are also being held in CBT mode as part of the transition to digital testing. Modules such as A1-R5 to A4-R5 are scheduled to be conducted in online mode, while other modules are being examined as per the notified scheme.

 

Reporting Time and Admit Card Instructions

Candidates are required to reach their allotted exam centres at least 30 minutes before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. This time is necessary to complete document verification and biometric authentication before the examination begins. Entry to the examination hall is allowed only after verification of the NIELIT admit card along with a valid photo identity proof. These details are final and must be followed without exception.

 

NIELIT 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Strict exam day guidelines are being followed at all NIELIT examination centres. Candidates are advised not to carry mobile phones, electronic devices, bags, notes, or any study material, as strict frisking may be conducted at certain centres. Each question paper is based on the official NIELIT syllabus and marking scheme. Before the start of the exam, candidates are shown on-screen instructions, which must be read carefully. Instructions related to question navigation, exam duration, and final submission should be followed strictly throughout the test to avoid technical or procedural issues.

 

Important Advisory for Candidates

Candidates should rely only on official instructions mentioned on the admit card and information shared by NIELIT authorities at the exam centre. Any deviation from exam guidelines may lead to disqualification. Students appearing in the remaining exam days are advised to plan their travel in advance and keep all required documents ready to ensure a smooth examination experience.
