The National Institute of Design (NID) has released an official amendment regarding the “Window to Edit the Application Form” for NID DAT 2026 admissions. The update, published on October 27, 2025, is applicable to both B.Des and M.Des aspirants. According to the amendment, the edit window will be active from December 2 to December 4, 2025, allowing candidates to modify certain details in their NID DAT application forms through the official admission portal.

Details That Can Be Edited
During the correction period, candidates will be allowed to make modifications in their submitted forms except for specific key details.
Editable Fields:
- Address and communication details
- Educational qualification details
- Category or gender (with applicable additional fee)
- Uploaded images/documents (if required)
Non-Editable Fields:
- Programme applied
- Candidate’s name
- Date of birth
- Registered mobile number
- Registered email ID
Important Amendment Highlights
- Candidates who wish to change their category or gender must pay the applicable fee difference in addition to the application fee.
- However, no refund will be processed if the change results in a lower application fee.
- Once the edit window closes, no further requests for changes will be entertained under any circumstances.
Applicants are advised to thoroughly read the Admission Handbook 2026–27 available on the official NID portal before making any corrections.
