The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has started the NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) 2026 registration process on January 9, 2026. Eligible candidates can submit their applications till March 31, 2026. The NEE is conducted for admission to various certificate, diploma, and degree programmes in Technology, Forestry, and Management offered by NERIST across northeastern states.

Steps to Apply for NERIST NEE 2026
Candidates can apply for the entrance examination by following these steps:
- Visit the NERIST NEE application portal
- Register using a valid email ID and mobile number
- Log in with generated credentials
- Fill in personal, academic, and contact details carefully
- Upload required documents
- Pay the application fee online
- Submit the application form

- SC / ST / PwD candidates: ₹1,000 + payment gateway charges
- UR / OBC / EWS candidates: ₹1,500 + payment gateway charges
What After the Registration Window Closes?
Candidates who complete the application process successfully will be issued NEE 2026 admit cards from April 14, 2026 onwards. The entrance examination will be conducted in April 2026 to shortlist candidates for admission to NERIST programmes.
