NERIST NEE 2026 Notification Released, Registration Begins 09 Jan.

NERIST NEE 2026 notification has been officially released by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology. As per the announced schedule, online registration for the NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) 2026 will begin from 09 January 2026. Eligible candidates seeking admission to engineering and allied programmes will be able to submit their applications once the registration window opens. The entrance examination for the 2026 session is scheduled to be conducted in April 2026.

Candidates who successfully complete the application process will be issued admit cards from 14 April 2026, which will be mandatory for entry to the examination centre.

 

NERIST NEE 2026 Application Fee and Eligibility

Applicants must complete the registration process by paying the prescribed examination fee in online mode. The application fee structure for NEE 2026 is as follows:

  • General / OBC / EWS candidates: INR 1,500 (plus transaction charges)
  • SC / ST / PwD candidates: INR 1,000 (plus transaction charges)

Only candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria specified in the notification will be allowed to appear for the examination.

 

What Is NERIST NEE?

The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is a national-level entrance test conducted annually to shortlist candidates for certificate, diploma, and degree programmes in Technology, Forestry, and Management disciplines. The examination is primarily conducted across centres in the North Eastern region of India and serves as the gateway for admissions to academic programmes offered by NERIST. Candidates are advised to complete their applications well before the closing date and regularly track official announcements related to the examination process.
