NERIE NCERT, Shillong has released the second counselling schedule for the BEd program 2025. Candidates can download the provisional selection list from the official website nerie.nic.in. The counselling will be conducted on 29 September 2025 at the institute. After the first round of counselling, 32 out of 55 seats were filled on 24 September 2025. The remaining candidates have been invited for the second round.

Candidates must appear in person before the Admission Committee and produce original certificates/documents along with one set of Xerox copies for verification.
Documents Required for Counselling
Candidates must bring the following documents:
- CEE Score Card/Result Card
- Original School/College Leaving Certificate or Transfer Certificate
- Original Conduct Certificate from last studied institution
- Original Mark sheets from High School onwards
- Original Certificates/Diplomas/Degrees (Provisional if originals not available)
- Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC/PH/EWS candidates (OBC must mention non-creamy layer)
- Family Income Certificate for 2025-26
- Permanent Residential Certificate
- Three passport-size photographs
- Affidavit confirming authenticity of documents
- Anti-ragging undertakings on Rs. 20/- Stamp Paper (candidate and parents)
- PH Certificate from competent authority (if applicable)
- Migration Certificate (for candidates from universities other than NEHU, Shillong)
- Relieving order (if employed)
- Medical Fitness Certificate from a Government Medical Officer
- Photocopies of all mark sheets/certificates
- Two passport-size photos of father/mother if opting for hostel
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Minimum eligibility marks in qualifying exam are required.
- Institute recognition must be from a UGC-recognised university.
- Failure to attend counselling will cancel provisional selection; no extensions allowed.
- Hosteller fees: INR 29,150; Non-Hosteller fees: INR 13,350.
- Any forged/fake documents may lead to cancellation of admission.
- Candidates eligible for scholarships must stay in the institute hostel.
