NEET-UG 2025 State-wise Counselling Highlights

NEET-UG 2025 counselling is being conducted in various states at the same time, with each exam conducting authority releasing its own seat allotment lists and schedules. From Kerala to Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, state boards are issuing updates on the results, reporting deadlines, and cut-offs. These highlights provide a quick overview of the key developments in different regions.

  • Kerala: The final allotment list has been published. Students can report to colleges between August 19 and 24
  • Madhya Pradesh: The DME halted Round 1 counselling after the MoHFW barred admissions at a specific dental college. A revised allotment is expected by August 20, with fresh reporting from 3 PM onwards.
  • Assam: Round 1 seat allotment has been declared via the DME portal. Eligible candidates must report as per the schedule.
  • Tamil Nadu: The first-round allotment is out. Notably, NEET cut-offs dropped significantly—by over 100 marks compared to 2024 — enhancing accessibility despite high competition.
  • Karnataka: Authorities extended the choice-filling and fee payment deadlines during Round 1 counselling
  • West Bengal: NEET-UG counselling is suspended indefinitely due to court intervention, leaving over 11,000 aspirants in limbo until further notice.
  • Madhya Pradesh (DME portal): Round 1 allotment is live. Students can download merit lists from dme.mponline.gov.in
