The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the choice filling deadline for the NEET UG Counselling 2025 Online Stray Vacancy Round to November 11, 2025 (11:55 PM). Candidates can now fill and lock their choices within the extended window available on the official portal —mcc.nic.in. According to the latest notification, the choice locking facility will be activated from 4 PM to 11:55 PM on November 11, 2025. The extension has been introduced following a change in the seat matrix, providing an additional opportunity for candidates who could not complete the process earlier.
NEET UG 2025 Counselling Stray Vacancy Round – Revised Dates
The MCC has not yet released the updated schedule for the seat allotment result or the reporting period to allotted institutes.
Reason Behind the Extension
Although the MCC has not officially stated the reason, the change is believed to be due to a revision in the seat matrix. As per the latest circular issued on November 7, 2025, one MBBS seat has been added to the All India Quota (AIQ) under the OBC-PwD category at Government Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai. This adjustment has impacted the seat matrix for the NEET UG Counselling 2025 Stray Vacancy Round, prompting the MCC to extend the deadline to ensure all candidates get an equal chance to update their preferences.
