NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Checklist: Documents, Dress Code & Exam Day Rules

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam checklist has been released as the National Testing Agency prepares to conduct the medical entrance examination on June 21, 2026, across India and select international centres. With more than 22 lakh candidates expected, strict guidelines have been issued to ensure fair conduct, secure entry procedures, and smooth examination management at all centres.

NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Mandatory Documents and Entry Requirements

Candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam must carry all required documents without fail, as entry to the examination hall is strictly regulated. Missing even one document may lead to denial of entry, regardless of preparation level. Candidates must also verify exam centre details, reporting time, and instructions mentioned on the admit card before reaching the venue. Strict identity verification and biometric checks are conducted at entry points to ensure the authenticity of candidates. The required documents include:

  • Printed NEET UG 2026 admit card with photograph affixed
  • Valid original photo identity proof (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License)
  • Passport-size photographs as per the admit card instructions
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)

NEET UG 2026 Dress Code Rules and Clothing Guidelines

The National Testing Agency has enforced a strict dress code to ensure smooth frisking and prevent unfair means during the examination. Candidates are advised to keep clothing simple and comfortable to avoid delays at security checkpoints. Candidates wearing religious or cultural attire must reach the centre early for additional verification and frisking procedures. The dress code is designed to ensure transparency and uniformity across all examination centres. Key dress code rules include:

  • Light-coloured, plain clothing with half sleeves preferred
  • No full sleeves, heavy embroidery, or layered outfits
  • No shoes; only slippers or sandals with low heels allowed
  • Avoid jewellery, watches, belts, and metallic accessories
  • Clothes should not have large buttons, badges, or multiple pockets

NEET UG 2026 Exam Day Prohibited Items and Security Rules

Strict security measures have been implemented to maintain the integrity of the NEET UG 2026 examination. Candidates are advised to carefully check their belongings before entering the centre, as prohibited items are not allowed under any circumstances. Security checks will be conducted at multiple levels, including frisking, biometric verification, and document validation, before entry into the exam hall. Items strictly banned inside exam centres include:

  • Mobile phones and communication devices
  • Smart watches, calculators, and electronic gadgets
  • Bags, wallets, books, notes, and stationery items
  • Jewellery, ornaments, and metallic accessories
  • Any edible items without medical approval

NEET UG 2026 Reporting Time, Exam Schedule and Exam Day Conduct

Timely arrival at the examination centre is mandatory for all candidates, as the National Testing Agency strictly enforces gate closure rules. Late entry is not permitted under any condition. Candidates must follow the invigilator's instructions, maintain discipline inside the exam hall, and avoid any form of malpractice. Proper adherence to guidelines ensures the smooth conduct of one of the country's largest entrance examinations. Key timing instructions include:

  • Entry begins in the morning hours as per the centre's instructions
  • Last entry strictly before gate closing time (no late entry allowed)
  • Exam duration: 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM (as scheduled)
  • Biometric verification and document checking before entry
