NEET UG 2026 Advisory Issued by NTA; Documents Must Be Updated

NTA Issues NEET UG 2026 Advisory; Candidates Asked to Update Documents as the National Testing Agency has released important guidelines for aspirants planning to apply for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate courses this year. The advisory emphasises the need for accurate and valid documentation ahead of the application process. The advisory comes as the registration window for NEET UG 2026 is expected to open soon, and candidates are advised to prepare their documents in advance to avoid inconsistencies, grievances, or rejection of their application form.

NTA NEET UG 2026 Document Advisory Details

The National Testing Agency has instructed candidates to verify and update several key documents before filling the NEET UG 2026 application form. According to the advisory:

  • Aadhaar Card: Candidates must ensure that their Aadhaar card details — including name, date of birth, gender, photograph, address, and biometric information (where applicable) — are correct and up to date. Any mismatch with application details may cause issues.
  • UDID Card (for PwD candidates): Aspirants claiming reservation under the Persons with Disabilities category must have a valid and updated UDID card.
  • Category Certificate: Applicants seeking reservation benefits under categories such as EWS, SC, ST, or OBC-NCL are required to possess valid and updated certificates in the prescribed format.

The advisory aims to streamline the application process and reduce errors during verification at later stages, including admit card issuance and counselling.

Why Updating Documents Is Important Before Application?

The NEET UG application process is fully online, and accuracy in personal and category details plays a critical role in successful registration. Discrepancies in core documents such as Aadhaar or category certificates can lead to delays, rejection of forms, or complications during counselling and seat allocation.
