NEET PG Counselling 2025 Updates: Schedule, Cut-Offs & Supreme Court

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is set to release the NEET PG Counselling 2025 schedule on its official website, mcc.nic.in, after several states have already begun their counselling processes. Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu has extended its registration deadline to September 18, 2025. Concerned aspirants have also sought more transparency in NEET PG exam scores through a Supreme Court petition.

 

Key Updates in NEET PG Counselling 2025

  • MCC will soon publish the full counselling timeline, including AIQ seats, participating colleges, and cut-offs.
  • Tamil Nadu’s registration window for NEET PG counselling has been extended till September 18, 5:00 pm, following candidate requests.
  • Several states, including Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, have already begun their state-level NEET PG counselling. Gujarat’s process requires PIN creation as the first step.
  • The Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing in approximately two weeks on a transparency plea filed by NEET PG aspirants. The plea demands publication of raw exam scores, a detailed answer key, and the normalisation method.

What Candidates Must Do?

  • Keep an eye on mcc.nic.in for the counselling schedule and choice filling dates.
  • Tamil Nadu aspirants must complete their registration by September 18, 5 pm.
  • Download the NEET PG 2025 scorecard from natboard.edu.in using the application ID and password. It contains marks and ranks for counselling.
  • Understand each state’s rules, including service bond policies for those discontinuing courses. Example: Kerala has strict guidelines.
