NEET PG Counselling 2025 Postponed – MCC Extends Choice Filling

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially extended the NEET PG 2025 Round 1 choice filling and locking process until further notice. The delay comes after the National Medical Commission (NMC) began revising the seat matrix for several medical colleges. The updated schedule for choice locking, seat processing, and Round 1 seat allotment will soon be announced on the MCC website — mcc.nic.in.

MCC Revises Counselling Schedule Amid Seat Matrix Changes

The NEET PG 2025 counselling process has been temporarily paused to accommodate updates to the All India Quota (AIQ) and state quota seat distributions. This postponement has impacted thousands of postgraduate medical aspirants awaiting MD, MS, and diploma admissions. As per MCC, the revision aims to ensure fair allocation across medical institutions that recently received approval for new courses or seat upgrades. Once the revised seat matrix is finalised, MCC will resume the Round 1 allotment procedure immediately.
