NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling: Dates, Registration, Choice Filling

The NEET PG 2025 round 3 counselling schedule is expected to be released soon by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in, marking the next phase in postgraduate medical admissions across India. Candidates who qualified in the NEET PG 2025 exam will be able to register for round 3, complete choice filling and participate in seat allotment once the official schedule is published. The MCC conducts counselling for MD, MS, DNB and PG diploma admissions under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ), with state counselling authorities handling respective state quota seats. After two rounds of counselling, the next seat allocation phase, round 3, will fill remaining vacancies based on merit and choices.

NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Expected Schedule Highlights

The NEET PG 2025 round 3 counselling schedule will include key dates for registration, choice filling and seat allotment. While the official timetable is awaited, candidates should be prepared for the following components once released on the MCC portal:

• Round 3 registration start and last date
• Choice filling and locking period
• Seat allotment result declaration
• Reporting and admission deadlines

These events will be published in a detailed schedule on mcc.nic.in once the committee finalises the round 3 dates.

How to Register for NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Counselling?

Once the round 3 counselling schedule is announced, candidates eligible for NEET PG 2025 round 3 must complete the registration process online through the official MCC portal. The general steps include:

1. Visit mcc.nic.in and click the NEET PG 2025 round 3 counselling link.
2. Register using NEET PG roll number and application details.
3. Pay the counselling fee as per the category norms.
4. Submit the choices of colleges and courses as per preference.
5. Lock the choices before the deadline.

Completing these steps within the stipulated period is essential to participate in the seat allotment process and secure admission to postgraduate medical courses.

NEET PG 2025 Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

After successful registration, candidates must engage in the choice filling and locking process, where they prioritise colleges and specialisations based on personal preference and rank. The MCC uses these choices along with the NEET PG 2025 rank to allocate seats through a centralised allotment algorithm once the choice filling window closes. The seat allotment result for round 3 will be published on the MCC website, after which candidates must complete reporting and admission formalities at the allotted institutions as per the schedule.

Role of Round 3 Counselling in PG Medical Admissions

The round 3 counselling of NEET PG 2025 is crucial for aspirants who did not get seats in earlier rounds or who wish to upgrade their seats based on choice and rank. It serves as one of the final opportunities to secure a postgraduate medical seat under the All India Quota before the counselling concludes with possible stray vacancy or mop-up rounds. Medical aspirants are advised to keep checking mcc.nic.in regularly for the official round 3 counselling schedule and to complete all required formalities within deadlines once the dates are announced.
