NEET PG 2025 Live: SC Hearing on Answer Key Transparency, Counselling

The Supreme Court of India is set to hear the plea on answer key transparency in the NEET PG 2025 examination today, September 12. The petition seeks disclosure of the full NEET PG question paper along with the answer key. At the same time, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is expected to release the NEET PG 2025 counselling dates shortly on mcc.nic.in for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) MD, MS seats.

NEET PG 2025 SC Hearing: Case Details

A group of NEET PG aspirants has approached the Supreme Court demanding greater transparency in the postgraduate entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

• The petitioners argued that NBEMS only released the answer key with question IDs, not the complete question paper.
• Students said the absence of the paper makes it difficult to verify their responses against the key.
• The plea claims this practice violates Article 14 (Right to Equality) and Article 21 (Right to Life and Personal Liberty) of the Constitution.
• The hearing is listed for Friday, September 12, 2025, and the outcome will be crucial for the counselling process ahead.

NEET PG 2025 Counselling Updates

The MCC will soon publish the NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule for admission to MD and MS seats under the 50% AIQ quota.

• The NEET PG 2025 AIQ merit list has already been released, and students included in the list will be eligible for counselling.
• The round-wise counselling schedule will be available at mcc.nic.in once announced.
• Candidates are advised to keep essential documents ready for the verification process.

State Quota Counselling Updates

Along with the AIQ seats, the remaining 50% PG medical seats will be filled through state-level counselling.

• Gujarat has already started its NEET PG counselling process.
• Kerala and Karnataka have released their bond policies for postgraduate admissions.
• Other states are expected to announce counselling dates in the coming weeks.

What Students Should Note?

• The Supreme Court’s decision on the answer key transparency plea may impact the counselling timeline.
• MCC is expected to begin AIQ counselling shortly after the ruling.
• Students should check the official website regularly for the latest updates and prepare documents such as the NEET PG scorecard, MBBS degree certificates, internship completion certificate, and identity proof for the admission process.
