NEET PG Two Thousand Twenty Five counselling has been affected once again as the Medical Counselling Committee extended the Round one choice filling and locking process until further notice. The development has pushed the seat allotment timeline ahead, impacting both All India Quota and state quota aspirants.
NEET PG Counselling 2025 Live Updates
The MCC has officially deferred the NEET PG Round one choice filling deadline due to changes in the seat matrix. As the revised seat data is still being updated for multiple colleges, the committee has kept the choice filling and locking window open until the updated information is finalised. This move automatically delays the announcement of the Round one allotment results. The postponement affects candidates seeking MD and MS seats under the fifty percent All India Quota and the corresponding fifty percent state quota seats across the country. The committee will publish a fresh counselling schedule soon after the NMC completes the seat matrix revision.
Why NEET PG 2025 Counselling Process is Delayed?
According to MCC, the National Medical Commission is revising seat data for several institutions participating in the postgraduate admission process. Since the matrix directly affects seat allocation and candidate preferences, the Round one counselling workflow has been paused temporarily. A revised schedule for choice locking, seat processing and the Round one allotment result will be uploaded on the official counselling portal once the updated seat matrix is approved.
