The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has published the official counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025, offering clarity on registration, choice-filling, and seat allocation across both All-India Quota (AIQ) and state-quota admissions. The process covers over 52,000 seats for MD, MS and PG Diploma courses for the academic year beginning 2025-26. The announcement follows delays caused by the National Medical Commission (NMC)'s revision of the postgraduate seat matrix and the reduction of certain DNB seats, creating uncertainty for aspirants.
Important Dates & Counselling Timeline for NEET PG 2025
Here is a breakdown of the key milestones candidates must follow now that the schedule is confirmed.
In addition, candidates must monitor the seat-matrix updates, as the NMC has added approximately 2,300 new PG seats and removed a portion of DNB seats for the session.
What Candidates Should Do Now?
With the schedule released, aspirants are recommended to:
- Register online at mcc.nic.in before the deadlines.
- Complete choice-filling and locking carefully as seat allotment will proceed based on preferences.
- Download the latest seat-matrix and verify their choices align with available seats and quota.
- Keep all original documents ready for reporting — including MBBS degree, internship certificate, NEET PG rank card, and registration with the relevant medical council.
- Stay updated with official notices; avoid relying on unofficial sources because delays and changes have happened this year due to regulatory issues.
