- Choice locking is mandatory; if not locked, online allotment will not occur.
- Once locked, choices cannot be modified or changed under any circumstances.
Supreme Court Case Update
The NEET PG 2025 counselling process was delayed due to the ongoing transparency plea pending before the Supreme Court of India. The apex court had directed the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to file a detailed response within two weeks. However, the hearing has not yet taken place, and no further update has been released. Despite this, MCC decided to proceed with the counselling process to avoid further delay in medical admissions.
FORDA Urges Quick Admissions
The Federation of Resident Doctors’ Association (FORDA) recently wrote to the Union Health Ministry, urging authorities to expedite admissions. The association highlighted that a delay in NEET PG counselling is causing a shortage of resident doctors in hospitals across the country. FORDA has also demanded greater transparency in the ongoing court proceedings to ensure a smooth admission process for postgraduate medical aspirants.
