Tentative Seat Matrix Details
BFUHS provided a breakdown of tentative seats specialty-wise in government and private colleges. For instance, at Government Medical College Patiala, Anaesthesia has seven total seats, four under AIQ (All India Quota) and three under state quota. At Government Medical College Amritsar, Anaesthesia has nine total seats, with five AIQ and four state quota. The full matrix lists specialties like General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Radiodiagnosis, General Surgery, Dermatology, among others, in multiple colleges across the state.
Admission & Fee Policies, Security Deposit, Penalty Clause
BFUHS mandates deposition of a security deposit (refundable) via its online portal. The Provisional Selection Slip will be generated only after fee confirmation. If a candidate opts out after first round but remains registered, they may participate in further counseling rounds. Fee refund is allowed in such “free exit” cases if surrendered in time. However, if a seat is surrendered late or the candidate does not report to the allotted college, the security deposit may be forfeited. Incorrect information at registration, failure to produce documents, or admission cancellation can also lead to forfeiture and penalties. BFUHS emphasized that Punjab Government rules, MCC norms, and Gazette notifications will be strictly followed.
What Applicants Should Note
- The published seat matrix is tentative and may change during final allotment or counseling adjustments.
- Applicants under NRI quota must secure eligibility/equivalency certificate in-person at BFUHS and meet financial document requirements.
- All updates and announcements will be posted on BFUHS official website and MCC portal per instructions in the prospectus.
