The NDA 1 Exam 2026 on April 12; Check Exam Timings & Important Guidelines update has been released for candidates preparing to appear in the national-level defence entrance exam. The exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for admission to the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy.

NDA 1 Exam 2026 Date and Timing

As per the official schedule, the NDA 1 exam will be conducted on April 12, 2026 in two shifts:

• Mathematics Paper: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
• General Ability Test (GAT): 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM

Candidates must note that entry to the exam hall will be closed 10 minutes before the exam begins, i.e., 9:50 AM and 1:50 PM respectively.

NDA 1 Reporting Time

Candidates are advised to report at least one hour before the exam time to complete verification and security procedures. Late entry will not be allowed under any circumstances.

Documents to Carry

Candidates must bring the following documents to the exam centre:

• Printed copy of NDA 1 Admit Card 2026
• Valid photo ID proof

If the photograph on the admit card is unclear, candidates should carry two passport-size photographs.

NDA 1 Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates must follow all instructions strictly to avoid disqualification:

• Carry admit card and ID proof without fail
• Reach the exam centre well before reporting time
• Wear simple and comfortable clothing
• Maintain discipline inside the exam hall

• Calculators
• Bluetooth devices or any electronic gadgets

Candidates must use a black ballpoint pen to mark their answers on the OMR sheet.
