NDA 1 2026 exam has been successfully conducted by the Union Public Service Commission on 12 April 2026. The exam was held in two shifts across multiple centres. Initial student feedback indicates a moderate difficulty level for the Maths paper.

 

NDA 1 2026 Exam Timings and Shift Schedule

Candidates appeared for both Mathematics and General Ability Test (GAT) papers in separate shifts. It is important to understand the schedule followed during the exam. The detailed shift timings are given below:

  • Forenoon Shift (Maths): 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
  • Reporting Time: 9:50 AM
  • Afternoon Shift (GAT): 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM
  • Reporting Time: 1:50 PM

Both shifts have now concluded across all exam centres.

 

NDA 1 2026 Maths Exam Analysis and Difficulty Level

Based on student reactions, the Mathematics paper maintained a moderate level of difficulty. The overall pattern remained similar to previous years. Key highlights of the Maths paper are listed below:

  • Overall Difficulty Level: Moderate
  • Good Attempts: Around 100 questions
  • Lengthy Questions: 10–15%
  • Previous Year Questions: Around 40%

Candidates reported that a significant portion of the paper was based on previously asked questions, making it manageable for well-prepared aspirants.

 

NDA 1 2026 GAT Paper Analysis Updates

The General Ability Test (GAT) paper was conducted in the afternoon shift. Detailed analysis for this section is expected to be available soon based on student feedback. The answer keys for both Maths and GAT papers will be released separately, which will help candidates evaluate their performance.

 

NDA 1 2026 Exam Day Guidelines and Instructions

Candidates were required to follow strict guidelines issued by UPSC during the examination. These rules ensure fair conduct of the exam. Important guidelines include:

  • Carry the NDA admit card along with a valid photo ID
  • Preserve the admit card until final result declaration
  • Avoid carrying electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, or Bluetooth devices
  • Use only a black ballpoint pen for marking answers
  • Bring two passport-size photographs to the exam centre
  • Visit the exam centre in advance to avoid last-minute issues

Following these instructions was mandatory for all candidates appearing in the NDA 1 2026 examination.
