The NALSAR team comprising Ashish Reddy, Dhruv Laalam, Jeetendra Vishwakarma, Sarthak Bansal, and Shivanetra Palanisamy delivered an outstanding performance to clinch the title against one of the strongest international law teams from King’s College, London. The competition, hosted in collaboration with leading academic and legal institutions, tested participants’ ability to handle complex cross-examination and arbitration issues under real-world conditions.

Several premier law schools from India and abroad participated in the competition, including:

Competition Theme and Case Focus

This year’s moot revolved around a construction arbitration dispute arising from the termination of battery production and commercialisation contracts between private and state entities. The case also examined allegations of deceptive negotiation practices, including disputes over construction permits, raw material costs, and profit-sharing ratios.

The format challenged participants to demonstrate in-depth understanding of cross-examination techniques, international arbitration laws, and commercial dispute resolution frameworks.

Recognition for NALSAR’s Achievement

The victory further strengthens NALSAR’s reputation as one of India’s leading law universities, consistently recognized for excellence in mooting, research, and legal innovation. Faculty members and alumni praised the team’s performance, calling it a testament to the institution’s focus on global legal education and advocacy skills.
