Mumbai University CDOE Extends Registration Deadline till October 11

The University of Mumbai’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has announced an extension of the registration deadline for its distance learning programs to October 11, 2025. This decision aims to provide prospective students additional time to apply for various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered through distance education.

 

Courses Offered Under MU CDOE 2025

The CDOE offers a diverse range of programs catering to different academic interests. These courses are designed to provide flexibility and accessibility to students pursuing education through distance learning.

 

Undergraduate Programs

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA): History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Geography, Rural Development, Marathi, Hindi, and English.
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom): Commerce, Accountancy, Business Management, Accounts and Finance.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc): Information Technology, Computer Science.

 

Postgraduate Programs

  • Master of Arts (MA): History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Marathi, Hindi, English, Geography, Education, Communication and Journalism, Public Relations.
  • Master of Commerce (MCom): Advanced Accountancy, Business Management.
  • Master of Science (MSc): Mathematics, Information Technology, Computer Science.
  • Master of Management Studies (MMS).
  • Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM).

These programs are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ensuring that the curriculum meets contemporary educational standards.

 

Admission Process and Eligibility

Admission to the CDOE programs is based on eligibility criteria specific to each course. Notably, the university has introduced dual degree options in line with NEP 2020, offering students the flexibility to pursue multiple qualifications simultaneously. The admission process is conducted online, with students required to apply through the official portal. Direct admission is granted to eligible candidates without the need for entrance examinations.

 

Special Initiatives and Online Offerings

In a significant development, the MA Sociology program is now available entirely online. This initiative allows students to complete the entire course—from admission to examinations—through digital platforms, providing greater accessibility to learners across various regions.
