MREC Secunderabad Management Quota 2025: Seat Intake, Eligibility

The Malla Reddy Engineering College, Secunderabad (MREC) opens its management quota admissions for academic year 2025 for B.Tech courses. Candidates may apply online via the college website or offline at the admission office. The institution adheres to the Telangana government’s rules for management/NRI quota seats.

Seat Intake under Management Quota

About 30% of seats in each B.Tech branch at MREC are designated for the management quota. The remaining 70% are filled through the TS EAMCET counselling process.

Eligibility Criteria for Management Quota

Candidates seeking admission under MREC’s management quota must fulfil the following:

  • Passed 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Minimum marks: 45% for General category, 40% for reserved categories.
  • A valid TS EAMCET or JEE Main score may be considered for merit under management quota.

Fee Structure under Management Quota

Under management quota, the fee is significantly higher compared to the regular convener quota. For B.Tech courses across branches, the annual fee under management quota is about INR 4,60,000 per branch.

Why Consider the Management Quota Option?

  • It offers a direct admission path for eligible candidates while ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Applicants gain flexibility when seats under the regular quota may be limited or highly competitive.
  • Offers access to MREC’s infrastructure, research facilities and placement tie-ups, which are highlighted in college reports.

Tips for Applicants

  • Verify that plenty of information—such as eligibility, seats and fee—is accurate and up to date on the college website.
  • Keep documentation ready: 10+2 mark-sheet, subject-wise scores (PCM), TS EAMCET/JEE score (if required).
  • Be aware of the higher fee under management quota and plan financial resources accordingly.
  • Compare placement trends and branch-specific outcomes prior to finalising the branch under management quota.
