Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced the decision during the state-level Teacher Honour Ceremony held in Bhopal on the occasion of Teachers' Day. The decision has been taken in the backdrop of the Supreme Court directions related to the Teacher Eligibility Test for teachers.

According to the latest update, the MP TET 2026 examination is scheduled to begin from October 12, 2026. Earlier, candidates were required to appear for the examination in online mode. With the latest decision, eligible candidates will also get the option to take the MP TET exam offline.

MP TET 2026 Exam: Online and Offline Mode

The Madhya Pradesh government has decided to conduct the MP TET 2026 exam in online and offline modes. The move is aimed at providing greater convenience to candidates, particularly those who may face difficulties while appearing for a computer-based examination.

The School Education Department, Madhya Pradesh, also confirmed the decision through its official social media communication. The department shared the Chief Minister's announcement stating that the TET would be conducted online as well as offline.
