The notification revision includes the updated schedule, application process guidelines, subjects list (31 subjects), and the tentative exam date of 11 January 2026.

Eligibility Criteria for MP SET 2025
To be eligible for MP SET 2025:
- Candidates must have completed a Master’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university/institution.
- For General/EWS/OBC (Creamy layer) candidates: minimum 55% marks in Master’s degree. Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC Non-Creamy) candidates: minimum 50% marks.
- There is no upper age limit for MP SET 2025.
MP SET 2025 Application Process
The application process is online, via MPPSC’s official website (mppsc.mp.gov.in). Key steps:
- Visit the MPPSC official website and click on “Apply Online” for MP SET 2025.
- Register by entering basic details (name, date of birth, email/mobile).
- Fill the application form: provide personal, academic, and contact details, select the subject for Paper II (one of the 31 subjects).
- Upload required documents: scanned photo, signature in the prescribed format/size.
- Pay the application fee and submit the form.
Application Fee:
- For MP domicile SC/ST/OBC (Non‐Creamy)/EWS/PwBD: INR 250 + INR 40 portal fee.
- For General / Other State candidates: INR 500 + INR 40 portal fee.
- Late fee schedule:
- First phase late fee: INR 3,000 + INR 40 portal fee (for submission 21–28 Nov 2025)
- Second phase late fee: INR 25,000 + INR 40 portal fee (from 29 Nov 2025 until 10 days before exam)
MP SET 2025 Exam Pattern
Important highlights of the exam structure:
- Mode: Offline (pen-and-paper) mode.
- Number of Papers: 2
- Paper I (Compulsory): General Paper on Teaching & Research Aptitude (50 questions)
- Paper II: Subject-specific elective subject (100 questions)
- Total Questions: 150; Total Marks: 300 (Paper I: 100 marks; Paper II: 200 marks)
- Duration: 3 hours.
MP SET 2025 Result & Further Process
- After the exam, results will be declared by MPPSC. Qualified candidates will receive MP SET eligibility certificates.
- These certificates make candidates eligible to apply for Assistant Professor positions in universities/colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
