MNLU Mumbai NRI Admission 2026-27, Apply by 23 March

MNLU Mumbai has started NRI, FN and NRI Sponsored admissions for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM 2026-27. Applications are open till 23 March 2026. Selection will be based on CLAT 2026 and CLAT PG 2026 scores.

MNLU Mumbai NRI Admission 2026-27, Apply by 23 March

Maharashtra National Law University, Mumbai has announced the admission process for BA LLB (Hons) and LLM programmes for the academic session 2026-27. Admissions are open under the Foreign National (FN), Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and NRI Sponsored categories. The NRI admission cycle began on 21 January 2026, and the last date to complete registration and document submission is 23 March 2026.

 

MNLU Mumbai NRI Admission 2026 Seat Matrix and Programme Details

The university has released the seat matrix for supernumerary categories. These seats are filled based on a defined priority order. For the 2026-27 session, the allocation is as follows:

  • 5-year BA LLB (Hons): 20 seats
  • 1-year LLM (Specialised): 10 seats

The seat allotment follows a hierarchy: Foreign Nationals are given first preference, followed by NRIs and then NRI Sponsored candidates.

 

CLAT 2026 Requirement for MNLU Mumbai Admission

Applicants must have appeared in CLAT 2026 (for UG) or CLAT PG 2026 (for LLM), conducted on 07 December 2025. Selection will be strictly merit-based on CLAT scores. Although applications are processed independently by the university, the merit criteria remains aligned with CLAT performance.

 

Candidates are required to submit the CLAT NRI application form along with a non-refundable fee of INR 5,000through the official university payment gateway. Registration and document upload must be completed via the prescribed Google form before 23 March 2026.

 

MNLU Mumbai NRI Eligibility Criteria 2026

Applicants must meet the academic and examination requirements specified for the respective programmes.

For BA LLB (Hons) 2026-31 batch:

  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination
  • Minimum 45% marks required (40% for SC/ST categories)
  • Valid CLAT 2026 score is mandatory

For LLM admission:

  • Candidates must hold an LLB degree
  • Valid CLAT PG 2026 score is compulsory

Students who have completed qualifying education from foreign boards must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline and ensure all required documents are uploaded correctly. Admission will remain subject to merit, document verification and eligibility confirmation.
