The MHT MBA/MMS CET 2026 has witnessed its highest participation in five years, with over 1.8 lakh candidates applying for MBA and MMS admissions in Maharashtra. Registration figures include more than 1.3 lakh for Session-1 and over 47,000 for Session-2, showing strong demand for management studies. Registered candidates can use the correction facility at cetcell.mahacet.org from 28 February to 2 March 2026.

MHT MBA/MMS CET 2026 Sees Highest Registrations in 5 Years – Over 1.8 Lakh Apply

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has announced that the MHT MBA/MMS CET 2026 has recorded its highest number of registrations in the past five years, with more than 1.8 lakh candidates applying for admission to postgraduate management programmes across the state. According to the latest data, over 1.3 lakh candidates registered for the first attempt of the MBA/MMS CET 2026, while more than 47,000 students applied for the second attempt, bringing the total registrations to above 1.8 lakh — the highest recorded in recent years.

 

Rising Registration Trends Over the Years

This year’s participation marks an increase compared with previous cycles:

  • 2025: Approximately 1.57 lakh registrations
  • 2024: Around 1.52 lakh registrations
  • 2023: About 1.4 lakh registrations

The consistent growth highlights sustained interest in postgraduate management education in Maharashtra and the importance of the state CET for MBA and MMS admissions.

 

Exam Schedule for MHT MBA/MMS CET 2026

The MHT MBA/MMS CET 2026 will be conducted in two sessions to accommodate the large number of candidates:

  • Session 1: 6–8 April 2026
  • Session 2: 9 May 2026

The computer-based test will be held at various examination centres across Maharashtra.

 

Correction Facility Available

Registered candidates can make corrections to specific application details through the official portal cetcell.mahacet.org. The application correction window is open from 28 February to 2 March 2026, allowing edits in fields such as:

  • Name
  • Date of birth
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Gender

Candidates are encouraged to verify and correct their information before the deadline to avoid discrepancies later in the admission process.
