MHT CET PCM 2026 Exam Live: Shift-Wise Question Paper Analysis, Answer Key & Difficulty Level

The Maharashtra State CET Cell is conducting the MHT CET PCM 2026 examination from April 11 to April 20, 2026 for engineering aspirants across the state. The exam is being held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in two shifts every day. Candidates appearing for the exam can check the shift-wise paper analysis, memory-based questions, unofficial answer key, and expected score updates after each exam shift.

 

MHT CET PCM 2026 Shift Timings

As per the official schedule, the MHT CET PCM exam is conducted in two shifts:

  • Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

The reporting time for Shift 2 is usually from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM. Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre early for frisking and verification.

 

MHT CET April 19, 2026 Shift-Wise Paper Analysis

The April 19 Shift 1 exam started at 9 AM and concluded at 12 PM. Based on initial student reactions, the overall difficulty level is expected to be easy to moderate, similar to previous shifts. Students can check memory-based questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics to estimate their performance. Shift 2 started at 2 PM and the detailed paper analysis will be updated after the exam concludes.

 

MHT CET 2026 Question Pattern and Marking Scheme

The MHT CET PCM paper includes:

  • Mathematics: 50 questions
  • Physics: 50 questions
  • Chemistry: 50 questions

Total questions: 150Total marks: 200

 

Mathematics carries 2 marks for each correct answer, while Physics and Chemistry carry 1 mark each. There is no negative marking in the exam. Around 80% questions are based on the Class 12 syllabus and 20% from Class 11 syllabus.

 

How to Check MHT CET 2026 Unofficial Answer Key?

  • Visit trusted education portals after the exam
  • Open the MHT CET April 19 shift-wise answer key link
  • Match your responses with memory-based solutions
  • Count correct answers using the marking scheme
  • Calculate your expected score

The official answer key will be released later by CET Cell on cetcell.mahacet.org.

 

Things to Carry to MHT CET Exam Centre

Students must carry:

  • MHT CET admit card
  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, Passport, Driving Licence, School ID)
  • Transparent pen
  • Water bottle (if allowed)

Heavy accessories, electronic gadgets, and prohibited items should be avoided inside the exam centre.

The official result for MHT CET 2026 is expected after completion of both PCM and PCB sessions.
