The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has successfully conducted Day 7 of the MHT CET PCM 2026 exam on April 19 for both Shift 1 and Shift 2. The exam was held in two sessions of 3 hours each. Candidates had to attempt 150 questions in total, with 50 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Based on student reactions, Mathematics remained the toughest and most time-consuming section, followed by Physics, while Chemistry was the easiest section in both shifts.
MHT CET 2026 April 19 Shift Timings
The exam was conducted in two papers:
- Paper 1: Physics + Chemistry (90 minutes)
- Paper 2: Mathematics (90 minutes)
Shift timings were:
- Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Once the first 90 minutes ended, Paper 1 was automatically submitted, and candidates moved to the Mathematics section.
MHT CET April 19 Shift 1 Analysis
Students reported that Shift 1 was moderate overall. Mathematics was lengthy and tricky, making time management difficult for many candidates. Physics was easy to moderate with mostly formula-based questions, while Chemistry remained easy and straightforward. Many students said that the 90 minutes given for Mathematics were not enough due to lengthy calculations and tricky questions. However, Physics and Chemistry were manageable within the given time.
MHT CET April 19 Shift 2 Analysis
Shift 2 was rated easy to moderate overall. Mathematics was again lengthy but slightly easier compared to Shift 1. Students mentioned that some Previous Year Questions (PYQs) were repeated in this shift. In Mathematics, more questions were asked from:
- Trigonometry
- Calculus
- Probability
- Vectors
Candidates were able to attempt most of the questions comfortably in Shift 2.
Subject-Wise Difficulty Level
The overall difficulty trend remained:
Mathematics > Physics > Chemistry
