MHT CET 2027's first attempt is likely to be held between December 15, 2026, and January 15, 2027. This change will impact preparation timelines for students.

MHT CET 2027 Exam Date: First Attempt Scheduled for December-January

Students gearing up for the MHT CET 2027 will need to adjust their preparation timelines significantly, as the Maharashtra CET Cell Commissioner, Dileep Sardesai, has announced that the first attempt of the MHT CET could take place between December 15, 2026, and January 15, 2027. This strategic scheduling aims to align the MHT CET with the national-level examination, JEE Main.

The proposed timeline for the MHT CET 2027 indicates that the first attempt is set to occur before the January session of JEE Main. According to Commissioner Sardesai, many students complete their syllabus by December, making an earlier examination feasible. This shift represents a significant change from the current schedule, where the MHT CET is traditionally conducted in April and May.

MHT CET 2027 Timeline: Key Dates and Changes

The Maharashtra CET Cell has proposed a new structure for the MHT CET, which will now be held twice a year. Students will have the option to appear for one or both attempts, with the better score being considered for admission. The second attempt will continue later in the academic year, maintaining a similar structure to the current system.

  • First Attempt: December 15, 2026 – January 15, 2027
  • Second Attempt: To be scheduled later in the academic year

Implications for MHT CET 2027 Aspirants

This new schedule will require students to complete their Class 11 and Class 12 syllabi much earlier than previously anticipated. Consequently, coaching schedules, revision plans, and mock tests may also need to be adjusted to accommodate this earlier examination date.

As of now, the CET Cell has not released a detailed timetable for the MHT CET 2027. If the December attempt is officially confirmed, students must be proactive in their preparation to ensure they are ready for this significant change.

How to Prepare for MHT CET 2027?

With the anticipated changes in the examination schedule, students should consider the following strategies to optimize their preparation:

  • Revise Early: Start revising the syllabus sooner to ensure all topics are covered before the exam.
  • Mock Tests: Increase the frequency of mock tests to familiarize yourself with the exam format and time management.
  • Coaching Adjustments: Coordinate with coaching institutes to align your learning schedule with the new exam dates.
