Who Needs to Pay the MHT CET CAP 2026 Registration Fee?
The revised registration fee applies only to specific categories of applicants. According to the CET Cell, candidates who had already registered for MHT CET 2026 are not required to pay any CAP registration fee. However, candidates seeking admission through JEE Main 2026 or NEET UG 2026 scores without registering for MHT CET must pay the applicable registration charges online. The authority has clarified that the registration fee is non-refundable under all circumstances. The payment can be made through the following modes:

- Credit Card
- Net Banking
- UPI

The CAP registration process is currently in progress for eligible engineering aspirants. Candidates should complete the application form, upload the required documents, and select their preferred verification mode before the deadline. The important schedule is given below.
MHT CET CAP 2026 Document Verification Process
Candidates must complete document verification after submitting the online application form. The CET Cell has provided two verification options to make the process convenient. Only candidates whose applications are successfully verified will be included in the MHT CET CAP 2026 merit list. Applicants can choose either:
- E-Scrutiny (Online Verification): Candidates upload their documents online, and the verification is completed digitally without visiting a Facilitation Centre.
- Physical Scrutiny: Candidates visit the selected Facilitation Centre with original documents for verification.
MHT CET CAP 2026 Merit List and Seat Allotment Process
Following the completion of registration and document verification, the Maharashtra CET Cell will prepare the final merit list based on the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates are advised to carefully verify all uploaded documents and complete every stage of the counselling process within the stipulated timeline to avoid cancellation of candidature. After the release of the final merit list on July 20, 2026, the authority will announce the complete schedule for:
