MHT CET 2026 registration is scheduled to close on February 12. However, based on past trends and recent hints, the State CET Cell is likely to extend the registration deadline.
The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, is currently conducting the MHT CET 2026 registration process for both sessions on its official website — cetcell.mahacet.org. As per the latest official update, the MHT CET 2026 application process is scheduled to conclude on February 12. However, there are strong indications that the authorities may extend the registration deadline. The CET Cell has dropped several hints suggesting a possible extension of the MHT CET application form 2026, especially for candidates applying for PCM (Engineering) and PCB (Pharmacy) groups.
Why MHT CET 2026 Registration May Be Extended?
As per recent trends, the State CET Cell has extended registration deadlines for multiple CET examinations whose application windows were open simultaneously. These include:
- MCA & M.HMCT CET
- MAH-BPED CET
- MAH-B.Ed.–M.Ed CET
The extension granted for these courses indicates that the authorities may follow a similar approach for MHT CET 2026 as well. This increases the likelihood of an extension for both PCM and PCB groups. However, candidates should note that no official confirmation regarding the extension has been announced yet.
Latest Update on MHT CET 2026 Registration
As per the current schedule:
- Last date to fill MHT CET 2026 application form: February 12, 2026
- Last date to pay registration fee: February 13, 2026
Candidates who complete the registration process before the deadline will be eligible to appear for either or both MHT CET attempts, depending on their selection.
What Students Should Do Now?
Until an official notice regarding the extension is released, candidates are advised not to rely on assumptions. Aspirants planning to appear for MHT CET 2026 should:
- Complete the registration process at the earliest
- Regularly check cetcell.mahacet.org for official updates
- Follow trusted education platforms like Shiksha.com for verified information
Delaying registration in anticipation of an extension may result in missing the deadline if no extension is granted.
MHT CET 2026 Registration: Important Points
Candidates must keep the following points in mind while filling the application form:
- The application fee must be paid online only and is non-refundable
- Form submission is complete only after successful fee payment
- Carefully verify all details before final submission
- Candidates must select four preferred exam cities, which cannot be changed later
- Clearly specify whether appearing for PCM, PCB or both
- Physics and Chemistry scores cannot be interchanged between groups
Candidates are advised to complete the MHT CET 2026 registration well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.
