The Maharashtra State CET Cell has announced the final extension of the MHT CET 2026 registration deadline for PCM and PCB groups. Candidates can apply without late fee till February 24, while applications with a late fee will be accepted till February 27, 2026.

MHT CET 2026 Registration Last Date Extended Again, Apply Till Feb 24

The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra has once again extended the registration deadline for MHT CET 2026 for candidates appearing in the PCM and PCB groups. As per the latest official notification, students can now submit the MHT CET 2026 application form without a late fee until February 24, 2026. This extension applies to both April and May examination attempts, and candidates are required to apply for both sessions together. The CET Cell has confirmed that this is the final extension, and no further deadline revision will be announced.

 

Candidates can submit applications with a late fee till February 27, 2026

Along with the extension of the regular application deadline, the CET Cell has also opened a late fee window for students who miss the February 24 cutoff. Candidates can submit their MHT CET 2026 registration forms with a late fee of ₹500 between February 25 and February 27, 2026. The authority has advised applicants to complete the process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues. Applications submitted after February 27 will not be accepted under any circumstances.

 

The registration extension applies to PCM, PCB and combined group applicants

Candidates applying for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), or both groups are eligible under the extended registration schedule. During the application process, candidates must carefully select their preferred subject group and examination attempt. Applicants are required to provide accurate personal details, academic information, upload required documents, and complete fee payment through online modes only, including net banking, credit card or debit card.

 

The MHT CET 2026 application process must be completed online only

To complete the MHT CET 2026 registration, candidates need to follow a fully online process via the official website cetcell.mahacet.org. The steps include:

  • Visiting the official CET Cell portal
  • Registering with basic personal details
  • Logging in using the registered email ID and password
  • Filling in academic details and subject preferences
  • Selecting preferred exam centres
  • Uploading scanned documents
  • Paying the application fee

After successful submission, candidates are advised to download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

 

The MHT CET 2026 exam dates for PCM and PCB groups have already been announced

The CET Cell has officially announced the MHT CET 2026 examination schedule for both subject groups. The exams will be conducted in multiple sessions to accommodate the large number of applicants. For the PCM group, Session 1 will be held from April 11 to April 19, 2026, while Session 2 is scheduled from May 14 to May 17, 2026. The PCB group exams will take place from April 21 to April 26, 2026 in Session 1 and from May 10 to May 11, 2026 in Session 2.

 

Candidates have been advised to complete registration before the final deadline

The Maharashtra CET Cell has reiterated that no further extensions will be granted beyond the announced dates. Candidates who fail to apply within the given timeline will lose the opportunity to appear for MHT CET 2026. Applicants are encouraged to regularly check the official website for updates related to admit cards, exam guidelines, answer keys, results and counselling schedules.
