The State Common Entrance Test Cell has reported a record 11,42,610 registrations for MHT CET 2026 across PCM and PCB streams. Candidates will appear for the entrance examination in April and May 2026 for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses in Maharashtra.
MHT CET 2026 PCM and PCB Registration Statistics
Out of the total registrations, 7,60,981 candidates applied under the PCM group, while 3,81,629 candidates registered in the PCB stream.
The PCM stream recorded a noticeable increase compared to last year. In 2025, 4,64,262 candidates had registered for PCM. This year, the first attempt alone saw 4,74,656 PCM registrations, marking an increase of 10,394 candidates, which is approximately 2.24% higher than the previous year.
The growth reflects rising competition for engineering admissions through MHT CET.
Attempt-Wise MHT CET 2026 Registration Data
This year, the CET Cell introduced a two-attempt system for both PCM and PCB groups. Candidates were allowed to appear in one or both attempts to improve their scores. The attempt-wise data is provided below:
- PCM First Attempt: 4,74,656 candidates
- PCB First Attempt: 2,80,373 candidates
- Total First Attempt Registrations: 7,40,906
- PCM Second Attempt: 2,86,325 candidates
- PCB Second Attempt: 1,01,256 candidates
- Total Second Attempt Registrations: 3,83,981
- Grand Total Registrations: 11,42,610
A large number of candidates have opted for both attempts to maximise their performance and ranking prospects.
MHT CET 2026 Application Form Correction Window
The CET Cell has activated the application correction window from 05 March 2026 to 07 March 2026. During this period, candidates can modify limited details in their submitted forms.
Editable fields include:
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Photograph
- Signature
- Gender
- Addition of PCM or PCB group
- Selection of second attempt option
Candidates are advised to complete corrections within the stipulated dates to avoid disqualification or discrepancies during the examination process.
