The Andhra Pradesh government and Medhavi Foundation have joined hands to build Swarna Medhavi Global Skills University in Visakhapatnam. Swarna Medhavi Global Skills University Partnership Update
Medhavi Foundation, which operates Medhavi Skills University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (AP EDB). In this MoU, both sides agreed to set up the new skills university in Visakhapatnam.Before sharing the detailed programme, it is important to understand how this partnership came together and what the new institution aims to achieve. The collaboration marks one more step in the state’s long-term development plan Swarnandhra @ 2047.
Mr. Kona Sasidhar welcomed the partnership and stated that the state aims to strengthen its talent pool. He said the goal is to equip students with industry-ready skills that support sustainable industrial growth within India and abroad.
Skill-Based Courses to Support High-Quality Jobs
The proposed university will offer job-oriented programmes in sectors that are currently expanding.Before presenting the list of courses, it is important to note that the curriculum will be designed with direct industry input. This will help students build practical abilities that match current and future job demands.
Key skill areas planned for the university include:
- electronics
- computer science
- renewable energy
- logistics
- manufacturing
- emerging technologies
These programmes are expected to help students gain the competencies needed for high-quality jobs. The focus is on strengthening Andhra Pradesh’s workforce so that the state can grow into a major economic hub by 2047.
