MCC NEET UG Round 1 Counselling 2026: Choice Filling Deadline Extended, Check Revised Dates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the NEET UG Round 1 counselling 2026 schedule, giving candidates additional time to complete registration and choice filling for the All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. As per the revised schedule released by MCC on August 13, candidates can now complete their choice filling until August 17, 2026, by 6 PM.

The extension has been announced following requests received from students and the addition of supplementary seats. Candidates who have not yet completed the counselling process are advised to review the available MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing seats and lock their preferences within the revised deadline.

NEET UG Round 1 Counselling 2026 Revised Schedule

According to the revised MCC schedule, the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 registration deadline has also been extended. Candidates can register for the counselling process until August 15, 2026, up to 2 PM. The choice filling facility will remain available until August 17.

The seat allotment process will be conducted on August 18, while the NEET UG Round 1 seat allotment result 2026 will be announced on August 19. Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will have to report to their respective institutes between August 20 and August 25, 2026.

MCC NEET UG Round 2 Counselling 2026 Delayed

The revised Round 1 schedule has also affected the timeline for subsequent counselling rounds. MCC has stated that the NEET UG Round 2 counselling 2026, which was earlier scheduled to begin from August 25, has been delayed. The revised Round 2 schedule will be announced after the declaration of the Round 1 seat allotment result.

The changes in the MCC counselling schedule are also expected to affect state-level MBBS and BDS counselling timelines. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official MCC website and respective state counselling authorities for further updates.
