MCC NEET PG 2025 Counselling Schedule Released: Round 1 Registration

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has formally released the counselling schedule for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Postgraduate) 2025 (NEET PG 2025) for both 50 % All-India Quota (AIQ) seats and seats under state quotas. The Round 1 registration window is now open and will close on November 5, 2025. Candidates who have cleared NEET PG 2025 and are eligible for counselling must register at the official portal, complete choice-filling for their preferred MD, MS and PG Diploma courses, and await seat allotment results expected on approximately November 8, 2025.

Key Details of the NEET PG 2025 Counselling Schedule

The counselling process will cover MD, MS and PG Diploma courses under the 50 % AIQ seats as well as state quota seats, with multiple rounds anticipated. Over four counselling rounds have been indicated in prior announcements.

What Candidates Must Know?

• Only candidates who have qualified NEET PG 2025 (above cut-off percentile) are eligible for this process.
• Registering and submitting choices in time is essential; missing deadlines may disqualify a candidate from Round 1.
• After registration, candidates must log in to complete choice-filling & locking of preferred colleges/courses.
• Seat allotments will be processed based on merit, choices filled, and seat availability.
• Once allotment is declared, candidates must report to the allotted institution or follow up further rounds as per schedule.

Why Schedule Delay & What It Means?

The counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025 was delayed due to regulatory and logistical factors. The regulatory body, National Medical Commission (NMC), is yet to finalise seat-matrix approvals for the increased number of seats and new medical colleges, which has impacted the timing of the process. Candidates should remain alert to official updates and avoid relying on unverified sources, as the schedule is critical to securing postgraduate medical seats for the 2025-26 academic session.

What Should Candidates Do Now?

• Immediately register for counselling before the November 5, 2025 deadline.
• Review the information bulletin for NEET PG counselling to understand registration fee, security deposit, choice-filling steps and category-wise rules.
• Ensure documents such as NEET PG scorecard, MBBS certificate, registration certificate, and identity proof are ready.
• Fill choices carefully — list preferred courses & colleges in order of preference.
• Monitor the official MCC website — mcc.nic.in — for seat-allotment results and further rounds.
