MBOSE HSSLC 2026 Exams Postponed for Two Subjects

Reason for Meghalaya Board Exam Postponement
The examination postponement follows reports of clashes between tribal and non-tribal groups during the nomination process for local council elections. Due to the situation, local authorities imposed a curfew in parts of West Garo Hills to control the unrest and maintain law and order. Officials indicated that conducting examinations under such circumstances could create safety concerns for students and examination staff.
HSSLC 2026 Exams Continue in Other Districts
The Meghalaya Board clarified that the postponement applies only to West Garo Hills district. Students appearing in other districts of the state will continue to take the HSSLC 2026 examinations as per the original datesheet. Schools and exam centres outside the affected district will conduct the Music and Anthropology papers on the previously scheduled dates.
